I may buy the DRM free version and try it out, since worst case scenario I'd be able to play it at home on my desktop. Would really like a way to play it on the go too for now, so hopefully Wineskin works.:) I have a wineskin with a steam set up that plays most windows games, even stuff like tales of zesteria and resident evil 6. It also plays all RPGmaker games, I know this isn't rpgmaker, but possible similar? (And, Of couse nothing that requires dx11, but most any other game works. ) For 12 bucks I'll give it a shot and post my results.
Thank you for working on Linux client (an actual one; sure, some titles will run well enough in WINE and an all but its nice to have a native port for a number of reasons). I very much enjoyed your previous titles and I'm glad to see you're back with another retro-RPG that looks to iterate on the concept without forgetting why we loved those old titles. I am sure that you will again receive much support from the Linux and Mac community as soon as word gets out that you're working on / offering a client for those platforms. Some users are willing to buy on the promise of a developer they trust, others will not want to pay until the Linux or OSX client is actually available. Sometimes this is simply not wanting their pre-Linux-ready sale to 'count' for Windows in automated metrics, others are skeptical having been burned by 'Linux coming someday' promises from others, but once the word spreads that you're supporting the platform many users will buy. Thanks; your title is certainly on my wishlist and I'll see what I can do about bringing attention to a few of the core Linux gaming sites.
Cosmic Star Heroine Switch
I've been really looking forward to this date, can't say I'm not disappointed that the Linux build isn't out. But if the only alternative was delaying the release altogether then you made the right call.
Cosmic Star Heroine Mac Version
I don't want to run this in WINE if I can help it, I've been burned in the past by games that seemed to work great in WINE only to crash at some random point deep into the game or stop working after an update. I've also seen devs promise a Linux version only to never deliver, so I don't exactly want to buy it now on faith. My only question is, if I wait for the Linux build to purchase will there be another release sale or will I miss out on it?
